I sell my monotypes unframed to keep shipping costs down, but am happy to make framing recommendations if desired.
Framers I recommend:
- London: John Jones
- New York: Bark Frameworks, Drummond Framing
- San Francisco: Dostal Studios — offers 15% off for your first order if you mention that I referred you to them
Shipping is not included the prices of the artworks and will be negotiated on a case by case basis. Please note that works labelled “Monotype” or “Monotype with gouache” can be rolled and therefore shipped relatively easily and inexpensively in a tube, whereas works labelled “Monotype with collage” or “Monotype with chine cole” cannot be rolled and need to be shipped flat. If you are interested in the latter and are concerned about shipping I would be happy to provide a quote.
If for some reason you would like to return a print within 14 days of delivery, I’ll be happy to accept it for a 15% fee as long as I receive it in perfect condition.
Please bear in mind that there is a difference in texture between a computer screen and printmaking paper, which is thick and has a suede-like surface. Though I do not retouch photos of my work for my website and the colors are the same in both media, it seems worth mentioning that a digital image, by the very fact of its being a slick, glossy medium, can make a monotype appear slightly more luminous than it is, while a print viewed in daylight is softer on account of the paper’s texture, but has richer color and more depth.
If you would prefer to view my monotypes in person, I’d be happy to arrange a studio visit. I can be contacted at alyssa.warren.studio@gmail.com .
